Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
Physician is required to be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Practice with extensive emergency room experience.
You will be required to work irregular tours of duty on a duty roster system, and accept call responsibility. This position is considered essential hospital personnel where you may be recalled to duty from scheduled time off in the event of an emergency including, but not limited to, inclement weather.
You must obtain and maintain Adult Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
