THIS IS A TEMPORARY PROMOTION FOR 2 YEARS. This temporary promotion may be ended earlier or extended for up to 4 years based on management's needs. At the end of the temporary promotion, the employee's basic pay will be set at the rate received prior to being temporarily promoted, regardless of length of the temporary promotion. Pay rate shall be increased to reflect pay increases (if any) received while temporarily promoted, as long as the resulting rate does not exceed the new range maximum. 

 

This position is part of the Kansas City Regional Office organization. If currently assigned to an office in the Kansas City Region, the selectee will remain at his/her current duty location (*work in place) rather than relocate to the Regional Office duty location. Although occasional travel to the Regional Office and field offices within the Region may be required, it is expected that the duties of this position will be able to be performed largely at the current duty location. In this situation, the employee's locality pay adjustment will continue to be based on the current duty location.  However, if the selectee is currently assigned to an office outside of the Kansas City Region, they will be reassigned to the Kansas City Regional Office for the duration of the assignment.  The duty location will be determined by the selecting official at the time of the selection.
