Because of the KCVA's expanding dialysis program and planned remodel of our dialysis unit, there are two vacancies for a registered nurse experienced in dialysis.   We will consider applicants who are interested in part time as well.  The incumbents responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  initiating, monitoring, and terminating dialysis treatments; being responsible for knowledge and compliance of nursing/dialysis policies and procedures; being involved in planning and evaluating patient care; participating in multidisciplinary team conferences; and leading/guiding co-workers in an efficient manner, making assignments for personnel commensurate with their education and experience background.   The tour of duty is primarily Monday through Saturday  shift (staggered hours) to cover the needs of the dialysis program.  Hours will be between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM. On call required on a rotational basis.   The incumbent reports to the NM of the area, is under the supervision of the Director/Co-leader of the Medical Subspecialty Service Line.
