A U.S. Census Bureau Term employee with career status who is selected for this position will receive a permanent appointment.

This vacancy is for an IT Specialist (Systems Administration) position in the New York Regional Office, Field Division, U.S. Census Bureau located in New York City, NY.

One year probationary period may be required.

Relocation expenses may be paid.

This is a non-bargaining unit position.

If this position is filled at a level below the full performance level, the selectee may be promoted without further competition.  This implies no promise or guarantee of a promotion.

The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour.  With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.
