This position is located in the Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration, Directorate for Educational Policy and Development, Small Mines Consultation Program Office. The incumbent serves as a mine safety and health education and training official to the mining community. Duties include providing education and training assistance; conducting mine site accident and job safety analysis; safety and health programs; and providing assistance in developing mine specific training with a focus on accident reduction based on accident trends and information obtained from monitoring mine training programs.
