This staff physician serves as the Chief of the Dermatology Service within the Operative Care Division at the Portland VA Medical Center.
The Chief is responsible for participating in and/or managing all aspects of a Dermatology program, to include clinical, administrative, academic and research components. The Chief will manage patient care loads within available staffing, which includes physicians, consultant and attendings, physician assistants/nurse practitioners, and residents. This individual will also coordinate resident academic activities within the affiliate Department at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU).
Applicant's education and experience will be reviewed by a Professional Standards Board and Compensation Panel (for physicians and dentists) in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected. The recommended salary may be at any point in the range listed for this vacancy.
