Shinseki has announced that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will be adding approximately 1,600 mental health clinicians – to include nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers as well as nearly 300 support staff to its existing workforce.

Applicant's education and length of practice (experience) will be considered by a Professional Standards Board and Compensation Panel in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected.  Relocation/Recruitment incentive MAY be authorized upon review and approval by management.

NOTE:  The incumbent of this position will be located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but will provide psychiatric services to other facilities via tele-mental health.  This announcement will be utilized to fill this position as full-time or part-time.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry required
  • Background and/or Security Investigation required
  • Full, current, unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery
  • Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required
  • U. S. Citizenship
