The Health System Specialist position is located in the VA Tennesee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) Office of the Chief (COS) at the Alvin C. York Campus in Murfreesboro, TN.  The incumbent provides the primary staff support to the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) and is a key staff member of the COS management team.  The DCOS is responsible for supporting the overall operation and management of the assigned clinical operational issues within TVHS including maintaining affiliations with Meharry Medical College, Middle Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt University and several other local educational instiutions impact the programs, activities, and operation of the clinical services.
