About the Position:
COMPETITIVE RECRUITMENT AND RELOCATION INCENTIVES WILL BE PAID (UP TO 25% OF YOUR SALARY).
Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
Must maintain board certification in Family Medicine, meeting hospital and board requirements for annual continuing medical education.
When needed due to deployments and other taskings of the military OIC, you will provide administrative supervision.
May be scheduled on any work shift or tour of duty including emergency stand-by schedule.
In extreme shortages due to deployment and other taskings, you may be required to take night and weekend family medicince calls on a rotating basis and to perfrom duties on a rotating basis as ward attending responsible for the care of beneficiaries admitted to the MED/SURG ward and ICU.
Duty location: You will work for the Department of Primary Care at Carl R Darnall Army Medical Center for Fort Hood, TX.
