About the Position:

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
The duties require completion of formal residency training of 3-4 years required by specialty board or progressive experience equivalent in breadth and intensity. The duties also require 1-2 years of experience beyond the residency training.
Board Certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine is highly desirable.
Duty location: You will work in the Department of Primary Care located in Brooke Army Medical Center at Ft. Sam Houston, TX.
