TEXAS AIR NATIONAL GUARD

 

EXCEPTED TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

This position is located in the 147th Reconnaissance Wing, Houston, TX.  The purpose of this position is to serve as the Base Information Assurance Manager who is the wing commander's authority and focal point for Information Assurance.    Manages the communication-computer security (COMPUSEC) program, Air Force Electronic Key Management System (AFEKMS), Emission Security, and Information Assurance Awareness Programs.

Appointment Factors: This is a Permanent Excepted Position open to Enlisted members ranking E-6 and below.  This is a Bargaining Unit position.
 
Remarks:  MUST HAVE 12 TO 24 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:  (CERTIFICATION & ACCREDITATION, COMPUSEC, COMSEC, IT) ALL TXANG UNITS WILL GIVE FIRST CONSIDERATION FOR VACANT POSITIONS TO QUALIFIED APPLICANTS FROM THE 217th TRS.
