The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) has developed a new VA Primary Care Locum Tenens program to address a shortage of Primary Care Providers.  The goals of the program are:

- To provide interim primary care (locums) that is consistently Veteran centered and high quality

- Increase access to primary care in VHA's nationwide

- Contribute to recruitment of highly qualified, motivated Primary Care Providers and the retention of current Primary Care Providers

 

The program is seeking physicians to work in Primary Care locations across the nation.

 

The VA Locums Tenens position offers:

- Flexible options for federal employment and benefits (e.g., paid vacation, sick leave, health insurance)

- Government travel reimbursement

- Ability to work in various VHA locations.

- Typical assignment length is a minimum of three months and maximum of six months.

- Comprehensive orientation to VHA clinical operations and world renowned electronic medical record system

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • U. S. Citizenship
