HECSA is located in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, approximately 15 miles south of the Nations Capitol, in Alexandria, Virginia. The Washington, D.C., metropolitan area is extremely rich in diverse cultural activity, American history -- Civil War history in particular, excellent shopping and eating establishments, white water kayaking on the Potomac River (where the U.S. Olympic Team trains), hiking, and some of the best boating in the world, on Chesapeake Bay. THIS POSITION WILL BE FILLED AT EITHER THE GS-05, GS-07, OR GS-09 GRADE LEVEL. THE GS-05 LEVEL IS A DEVELOPMENTAL POSITION WITH NONCOMPETITIVE PROMOTION POTENTIAL TO THE FULL PERFORMANCE GRADE OF GS-09
Performs the full range of administrative functions in support of the branch's customer base, with continuing responsibilities for ensuring that the branch's daily operational functions in support of HQ, and other suported customer agencies are carried out as efficiently and effectively as possible. Provides technical support and assistance to the HQ, US Army Corps of Engineers in the area of adminstrative payroll and GTCC management, with continuing responsibility for the consolidation , verification, and production of a variety of applicable management documents.
