About the Position:
Program Executive Office Enterprise Informations Systems (PEO EIS) mission is to enable information dominance by developing, acquiring, integrating, and deploying enterprise-wide, network-centric information management and communications to meet Army's current and future mission requirements. PEO EIS is located as Fort Belvoir, VA.
Computers Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solution (CHESS) mission it to be the Army's Primary Source to support the Warfighter's Information Dominance objectives by developing, implementing and managing commercial information Technology contracts that provide enterprise-wide net-centric hardware, software and services.
This position may be eligible for regular and recurring TELEWORK, including emergency and OPM prescribed unscheduled Telework. Supervisor approval will be required on a case-by-case basis.

This is a DoD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-II of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-05 through GS-11 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process, and expanded developmental opportunities.
