Two full-time Licensed Practical Nurse positions are currently available in the Renal Dialysis Unit (RDU), a hospital based acute/chronic dialysis unit with 24 bed/chairs, at the Hampton VA Medical Center.  The Dialysis Unit Program provides a full spectrum of dialysis related services to include peritoneal dialysis, diagnostic evaluation, initial stabilization, formulation of a treatment plan, periodic review, reevaluation of therapy, and renal transplant workup, referral and follow-up.  RDU services are provided Monday through Saturday, from 6 AM to 6:30 PM.  Tour of duty is a rotating schedule, including Saturdays. Salary is determined by the Professional Standards Board based on education, qualifications, experience, and credentials.  This announcement is open to all qualified U. S. Citizens.  More than two applicants may be hired from this announcement. First consideration will be given to permanent VAMC Hampton employees.
