The Salem VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Physician (Dermatologist) to join its experienced staff of physicians and health professionals in the Department of Medicine at the Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care for patients within the scope of general Dermatologic practice. The successful candidate's practice will be focused primarily within the Dermatology Clinic of the Salem VAMC, with the occasional requirement for inpatient consultation throughout the Medical Center. As a complement to the Medical Center's focus on the clinical treatment and care of our Nation's veterans, the Salem VAMC prides itself on the research and teaching opportunities available to our clinical staff. The Salem VA Medical Center maintains active academic affiliations with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM), the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), and the University of Virginia School of Medicine (UVA), all of which provide numerous teaching and mentoring opportunities for physicians within their scopes of practice.
The VA Medical Center of Salem, Virginia is located adjacent to Roanoke, both of which are nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia. The Salem & Roanoke metropolitan area provides its residents with a reasonable cost of living, affordable housing and low taxes, low crime, and some of the finest public and private schools in Virginia.
