The Huntington VA Medical Center is looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist, to join our team. Performs services for both inpatient & outpatient procedures.  Applicants must qualify for an academic appointment with the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University.   

Will the Department of Veterans Affairs Pay for me to move? Yes - Standard Relocation/Moving Expenses MAY authorized for this position.  However, the Guaranteed Home Buy Option (GHBO) is NOT authorized for this position.

Applicant selected for this position MAY be eligible to apply for an education loan reimbursement award under the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), based on the availablity of funds.

Applicant(s) selected for this position may be eligible for a Recruitment or Relocation Incentive (up to 25%) and which requires the selectee to sign a service agreement.  The amount of the incentive to be paid will be determined based on the qualifications of the selectee.  The incentive will be a set percentage of the selectee's annual rate of basic pay in effect at the beginning of the service period.   This will be the total amount of the incentive, and for which the distribution of payments for the service period to be determined by management.  

This position will remain open until filled.  This vacancy will have multiple cut-off dates.  The first cut-off date will be October 15, 2011 with subsequent cut-off dates of the 1st and 15th of the month.  Management retains the right to make additional selections as positions become available.
