About the Position:
The MICC Fort McCoy is part of the Mission and Installation Contracting Command and a tenant at Fort McCoy. The MICC Fort McCoy supports the Fort McCoy Installation and its tenants as well as the 88th Regional Support Command (RSC) with geographic locations in a 19-state region. This position belongs to a career program which ensures the employee is to become certified within the career field and may have the opportunity to earn at least 40 continuous learning points a year. Level I Certification in Contracting is required for GS-07; Level II Certification in Contracting is required for GS-09 through GS-12.
Fort McCoy is located in a good rural area with the closest towns located approximately ten miles in either direction. Both Tomah and Sparta have a population of approximately 10,000. The area has commendable schools and reasonable housing costs and is situated between two major interstates and has an excellent Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program which include the Whitetail Ridge Recreation Activity, a fitness center with Olympic size pool, saunas, etc., and Pine View Recreation Area.
