Your salary and grade will be determined by the Professional Standards Board (PSB).  The PSB is a peer review process.  The PSB will review your individual qualifications, education, professional training/internship(s) and professional experience to determine the most appropriate salary and grade based on your individual accomplishments. Your final salary determination must be approved by the medical center director.

 

The incumbent ML/CLS will develop, perform, evaluate, interpret, correlate, and validate the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results.  Testing procedures will be performed on a variety of biological specimens and using manual or automated techniques, and require a broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision.  The work performed by the incumbent is done within a variety of laboratory disciplines, such as Hematology, Coagulation, Flow Cytometry and phlebotomy on weekends, holidays and as needed.  Flow Cytometry duties are highly complex areas of the laboratory and require a high level of technical and interpretive expertise.  Such positions include requirements to monitor quality control systems and measures; collaborate in the diagnosis and treatment of patients; and provide education for laboratory and other healthcare professionals, and others in the medical center setting including the public.

 

TOUR OF DUTY:  Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (Rotating Weekends/Holidays)
