Your salary and grade will be determined by the Social Work Professional Standards Board (PSB).  The PSB is a peer review process.  The PSB will review your individual qualifications, education, professional training/internship(s) and professional experience to determine the most appropriate salary and grade based on your individual accomplishments.

Unlicensed Social Workers and Social Workers not licensed to practice at the independent level will be placed on a temporary appointment pending receipt of a qualifying state license to practice social Work at the independent level.

 

The Homeless Domiciliary Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (DRRTP) social worker assumes responsibility for the provision of clinical counseling and psychosocial services to veterans who are admitted for treatment of diagnoses and psychosocial factors related to homelessness. Services will be given to DRRTP patients and to selected outpatients. The DRRTP social worker interviews patients/significant others and completes psychosocial assessments.   The assessment will include data pertinent to the development of an effective treatment plan as stipulated in Joint Commission and VHA standards.
