This position is located in the Technical Services Branch, Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (EFLHD), of the Federal Highway Administration. You will be primarily responsible for managing the Road Inventory Program (RIP) work administered by the Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division located in Sterling, Virginia, but you will be working out of the Central Lands Highway Division (CFLHD) office, located in Lakewood, Colorado.
The ideal candidate needs to have knowledge and experience in coordination and collection of data using an Automated Collection Vehicle for a Road Inventory Program for paved roads. This would include knowledge and experience in operation, calibration, and maintenance of the vehicle (preferably direct experience with a vehicle from Pathway Services, Inc.). The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control analysis procedures for pavement condition ratings for paved roadways. They should be detail oriented and have good project management skills.
