As Senior Technician Reviewer, the incumbent serves as a technical expert with respect to the subject areas and functions of Branch 3.  Subject areas for which the Branch is responsible involve the speciality areas of tax law as it pertains to financial institutions and products, including banks, thrift institutions, regulated investment companies, real estate investment trusts, asset securitization arrangements, debt modifications, options, futures contracts, original issue discount obligations, hedging arrangements, and other types of innovative financial instruments and entities.
