This is a permanent full-time position however, initial appointment to this position will be NTE 13-months (with benefits) pending approval of appointment by the Professional Standards Board.

The Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking a Medical Support Assistant for the Newnan Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). The CBOC will oversee the primary care Team members and is responsible for the teams administrative functions. The MSA is a highly specialized position and performs duties traditionally done by multiple staff in other services and sections. Must be flexible to the changing demands of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The incumbent personally works with veteran patients in determining the nature of their needs, questions or complaints, provides information , gives guidance and initiates action as appropriate.
