This position is in the Corrosion Control Section of the Electro-Mechanical Branch in the Airborne Electronic Warfare Systems Division which repairs, modifies, designs, and fabricates advanced composite and electro-mechanical systems and subsystems used in complex electronic Warfare (EW) and Surveillance Systems. The Mechanical Engineering Technician provides technical expertise and leadership in the development, manufacture, modification, implementation, and maintenance of complex mechanical systems and support equipment. More specifically, he/she provides technical developmental guidance in the ongoing process improvements for EW and Surveillance Systems and components. These include: AN/ALQ-99 On Board Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs), Subsystem Repairable Assemblies (SRAs), MK 99 SPG-62 Fire Control Systems (FCS) Reflectors, and related hardware, SLQ-32 Electronic Counter Measure Chassis, AN/ALQ-184 Electronic Counter Measures Coolant System Components, and other focus area work.
