The Department of Defense approved a new $404 million facility for IACH. Scheduled to be completed in 2013, the hospital will be 550,000 square feet with 52 beds, state-of-the-art patient rooms, more clinic space, and a better atmosphere for patient care. It will also include an 8-bed in-patient psychiatric unit, a new feature for Irwin Army Community Hospital.
