The Indian Health Service (IHS), an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. Intermittent position is assigned an intermittent work schedule which means employment is without a regularly scheduled tour of duty; on call, whenever needed, and only paid for actual hours worked. Travel and per diem costs to temporary duty station will be paid according to Federal travel regulations. Assigned salary is based upon meeting qualifications at specific grade level.
