This position is realigned in accordance with supporting activities related to the Financial and Logistics Integrated Technology Enterprise (FLITE) and is assigned to the Logistics Management Service Line at the Oscar G. Johnson VAMC, Iron Mountain, MI.

The FLITE program is a multi-year initiative to standardize business processes and modernize the information technology environment supporting financial and asset management within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  The program’s primary component, the Integrated Financial Accounting System (IFAS) will replace VA’s current accounting system, Financial Management system (FMS) with standardized core business processes.  It will also replace components of the Integrated Funds Distribution, Control Pont Activity, Accounting and Procurement (IFCAP) system and will phase out the Generic Inventory Package (GIP) and integrate with the Strategic Asset Management System (SAM).

The Iron Mountain VA is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is part of the VA’s Great Lakes Health Care System in the Veteran’s Integrated Service Network (VISN 12). The Medical Center and its community clinics/sites serve eligible veterans in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (fifteen counties) and Northeast Wisconsin (eleven counties).
