This is a permanent full time position duty stationed at Voyageurs National Park, International Falls, Minnesota.

WHO MAY APPLY: This announcement is open to Government-wide current/former career or career conditional federal employees; Reinstatement Candidates, Eligibles, Qualified Handicapped Individuals, 30% or More Compensable Disabled Veterans, Qualified Handicapped Individuals, Veterans who are Preference Eligibles or who have been separated from the Armed Forces under honorable conditions after three years or more of continuous active service (VEOA) and returned volunteers from the Peace Corps or Vista, etc. who live in the local commuting area of Voyageurs National Park, International Falls, Minnesota. AREA OF CONSIDERATION IS LIMITED TO THE LOCAL COMMUTING AREA: The geographic area that usually constitutes one area for employment purposes (Voyageurs National Park, International Falls, Minnesota). The population center (or two or more neighboring ones) and the surrounding localities in which people live and can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily to their usual employment at Voyageurs National Park, International Falls, Minnesota.

Area Information:  Voyageurs National Park is a 218,000-acre water-based park established to protect the geology, scenery and historic voyageur waterway system along the United States/Canadian border.   The park is located near International Falls, Minnesota (population approximately 6,000) and Kabetogama, Ash River, and Crane Lake, Minnesota. The park is adjacent to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.   Daily mean temperatures average a comfortable 70 degrees with low humidity in the summer.   Fishing, boating, and other outdoor activities are the dominant recreational activities. One two-year college, schools (K-12), a hospital and medical facilities, churches, movie theater, and shopping are located in the community of International Falls.
