The position is located at National Weather Service (NWS), Central Region Headquaters (CRH),in Kansas City, MO.  The incumbent serves as the Regional Equipment Specialist and is responsible for a variety of electronics maintenance activities for assigned electronic equipment and systems at Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs) throughout Central Region in support of the agency's mission. A Primary focus of this position will be the oversight of the Central Region NOAA All Hazards Radio network. The incumbent also serves as the Regional Training Coordinator for all CR electronics technicians and Electronic System Analysts.  

This is the NWS Bargaining Unit position.

Payment of relocation expenses is authorized for status (i.e. current Federal employees) only. Federal employees must meet Time In Grade (TIG) requirements by the closing date. A one-year probationary period may be required. Salaries shown for this vacancy include locality pay.
