US Army Veterinary Services operates as a subsidiary of Public Health Command. Their mission is to provide military veterinary services in support of United States Army Medical Command and Department of Defense missions. The civilian function of the Veterinary Services is a supplemental mission which exists to assist soldiers and their families in the field of animal health and care.

This is a Flex 00 position at the Ft. Sill, Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF). Looking for a motivated,  and enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals and their well being to work in a veterinary clinic that provides full care services (except for emergency and after hours care). Must be able to work well as a team member or individually with and without direct supervision. Must be able to communicate clearly with clients and veterinarians. Ideal candidate is familiar with basic veterinary terminology and basic requirements for companion animal preventive medicine. Must be prepared to work with stray animals and be aware of the occasional need to euthanize healthy stray animals due to space or unsuitability for adoption. Must be adaptable as the selected applicant will be working with no less than four different veterinarians. Will be expected to perform laboratory tests, take radiographs, assist with surgery, give vaccinations and perform physical exams, fill prescriptions, and more under the direction of the veterinarian. May have to occasionally fill in for receptionist. May be assigned extra duties such as cardholder or inventory clerk.
