This position is located in the Solid Waste & Hazardous Material In-Service Engineering Branch within the Environmental Quality Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center-Carderock Division (NSWCCD). This position is the U.S. Navys senior technical expert in Hazardous Material Control & Management (HMC&M), Pollution Prevention (P2), and Shipboard Oil/Hazardous Substances (OHS) Spill Prevention and Response, who influences major projects, proposals, and the direction of work for the knowledge area. As the recognized expert, this position provides authoritative technical leadership in OHS spill prevention and response, P2 equipment, installation of HAZMAT Minimization Centers (HAZMINCENs), HAZMAT locker and stowage space requirements, and HMC&M processes, approval, and tracking.
