THIS IS AN EXPEDITED HIRING AUTHORITY ANNOUNCEMENT. The Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) FY 2009 provides that the Secretary of Defense can designate acquisition positions as shortage positions and recruit and appoint highly qualified persons to these positions. This announcement is open to accept resumes from candidates interested in helping the Department of the Navy meet our mission requirements for the acquisition of systems, equipment and facilities.

 

This position is located in Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Warfare Systems Department, Combat Control Division, Track Management Branch, Dahlgren, Virginia. The Track Management Branch provides engineering and operational expertise in support of current and future Track Management, Situational Awareness, and Command and Control systems that includes the Shipboard Gridlock System with Auto-Correlation (SGS/AC). As an Engineer/Scientist you will serve as the Track Management Fleet Support Engineer with responsibility for the efforts necessary to engineer, test, install, and conduct training in support of current and future Track Management and Situational Awareness systems.
