This Lead Forestry Technician (Fire) position is characterized as a Senior Firefighter under the Interagency Fire Program Management (IFPM) Standard and requires the selectee to meet National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Incident Management Qualifications prior to being placed in the position. This is a permanent, seasonal position stationed at the Inland Northwest National Wildlife Refuge Complex, Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge, Cheney, Washington.  You will be in pay and duty status at least 26 but not more than 50 weeks per year.   

Area of Consideration:  U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service-wide local commuting area recruitment.  Open to career or career-conditional status employees currently in the Service within the local commuting area of the vacancy and Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) eligibles only.
