BLM is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team. The BLM manages more land - approximately 253 million acres - than any other Federal agency. This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska. The Bureau, with a budget of about $1 billion, also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estates throughout the nation. The BLM's multiple-use mission is to sustain the health and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

This position is located in Buffalo, WY. The Buffalo Field Office manages 780,291 acres of public lands and 5.5 million acres of mineral estate within Campbell, Johnson, and Sheridan counties in north-central Wyoming. These three counties are
part of the Northern Great Plains and are rich in old west history. The area contains vast deposits of oil, gas, and coal, in addition to resources such as wildlife habitat and rangelands for livestock grazing. The public lands and adjacent Bighorn National Forest provide many opportunities for recreational activities.
