BLM is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team.

The BLM manages more land - approximately 253 million acres - than any other Federal agency.  This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska.  The Bureau, with a budget of about $1 billion, also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estates throughout  the nation.  The BLM's multiple-use mission is to sustain the health and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

This position is located in the Casper Field Office.  Located between the base of Casper Mountain and along the banks of the North Platte River in central Wyoming, the High Plains District encompasses approximately 2.5 million acres of BLM-administered surface land and 11 million acres of mineral estate within Wyoming and Nebraska. If you are selected at a level below the full performance level, you may subsequently be promoted to the full performance level without competing again. Promotion will depend upon administrative approval and the continuing need for an actual assignment and performance of higher level duties.
