The primary purpose of the position is to perform law enforcement work.  Duties are performed on rotating shifts, 24 hours a day, and 365 days of the year.  Incumbents attend formal, on-the-job and in-service training to include; regularly scheduled weapons qualifications training, periodic instruction and/or drill in law enforcement procedures, and regularly scheduled physical agility training and testing.

Pre-employment physical examination required.

This is a Department of the Navy drug testing designated position.

The ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance is required.
