Teach swimming lessons to students of all ages and follow specific protocols set forth by the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Program.  Ensures student safety and prepares lessons plans.  Works with volunteers and swim aides to assist with swim lessons.  Provides positive, constructive feedback to students and parents enhancing the learning experience.  Organizes and directs activities of assigned students in order to provide a high quality level of instruction.  Makes sure that all class students are registered, attendance is taken daily, and course records are completed prior to the completion of the class.  Recognizes and understands swimming developments and achievements.  Resolves simple public complaints in matters related to swimming instruction and refers other complaints to the Aquatics Manager.  Enforces pool safety standards and operational rules for all individuals using the facilities.
