A Unified Organization Working as One Team
If you would like to be a part of a Federal organization dedicated to serving our Nation and those who defend it, consider a career with the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of the Inspector General (OIG). The agency promotes integrity, accountability and improvement of critical DoD programs and operations to support mission accomplishment and to serve the public interest. The OIG offers the full range of Federal benefits (see link below) and a flexible work schedule, depending on position requirements.
This position is located in the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) Inspections Directorate. OPR is an independent office of the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) reporting directly to the Inspector General. All Criminal Investigators assigned to OPR are DCIS Special Agents. OPR is responsible for investigative allegations of OIG misconduct, waste, abuse, mismanagement and for conducting other investigations as the Inspector General directs. OPR is also responsible for conducting inspections of OIG Components, regional offices, and field offices at regular intervals to determine the managerial, administrative, and operational efficiency of an office. Additionally, OPR is responsible for the Annual Statement of Assurance program, the Government Performance and Results Act, and measuring progress toward achieving the goals of the OIG strategic plan.
