Colorado National Guard Dual Status Technician Announcement

 

Colorado National Guard Dual Status Technician Announcement Technicians are employed under the authority of Title 32 USC, Section 709, which states, in part, that technicians are to be employed in "the administration and training of the National Guard," and "the maintenance and repair of supplies issued to the National Guard."

AREA OF CONSIDERATION

 Open to only current enlisted members of the Colorado Army National Guard holding a 15U MOS.

 ***There are two positions available, one permanent technician and one indefinite technician.  The highest scoring Soldier on the board will be offered the permanent position.  The second highest scoring Soldier will be offered the indefinite position.  The Indefinite position will be NTE one year of the date of hire and subject to renewal.

 

This position is located in the Logistics function of an ARNG Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF).   The AASF provides Aviation Unit Maintenance (AVUM), Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM), and aviation maintenance training for supported units.   The purpose of this position is to act as the Aircraft Mechanic (Crew Chief) with responsibility for managing the operational readiness of one or more aircraft, and proficiency training of supported aviation unit personnel.  Responsibilities include detailed technical oversight of individual aircraft's level of mission capabilities and projection of maintenance requirements to maintain individual aircraft operational readiness.
