FLORIDA NATIONAL GUARD

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

This position is located at 125th FW, Jacksonville, FL

AREA OF CONSIDERATION:  This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709", and is open to Category 1 & 2 Only.  Category 1: All permanent/indefinite military technicians in the Florida National Guard; and Category 2: All current military members of the Florida National Guard.  First consideration will be given to Category 1.

INTRODUCTION:  This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Weapons Element.  The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Small Shop Chief (SSC) with the responsibility for the overall over all operations of a small shop.
