ILLINOIS NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Illinois National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Illinois National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the Illinois National Guard.

Open Areas of Consideration: 1, 2 The first area of consideration will be permanent technicians on board with the 126th ARW. The second area of consideration will be individuals holding or eligible to acquire membership with the 126th ARW. Applicants who meet the first area of consideration will be considered before those who meet the second area of consideration.
Military Requirements: Selected Candidates are required to be in a compatible military assignment in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the MOS prior to the effective date of placement.
Compatible Military Assignments: Enlisted: 2A3XX, 2A5XX
Maximum Military Grade: TSgt
This position is available when vacated by the incumbent.
This position is subject to Night Shift.
Other Requirements For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state drivers license.
Quality of Experience Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed.
