About the Position:
The Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) is the Army's Center of Lethality, and provides more than 90 percent of the Army's lethality to Soldiers. ARDEC's mission includes: improving already fielded items, developing new items, maintaining a strong armament technology base in government, industry and academia and provide technical support to Soldiers in the field.
Picatinny's location is ideal for a variety of leisure activities, including summer and winter sports. The site itself offers excellent recreational facilities, including an employee's club, tennis courts, softball diamonds, soccer fields, 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, water park and fitness center. Nearby New York City offers shopping, museums and theater. Atlantic City is within driving distance and professional sports fans will find the Giant, Mets, Yankees, and Knicks, among others.

Current Army employees serving on competitive career or career-conditional appointment (SF-50 block 24 must be a "1" or a "2" AND block 34 must be a "1").
