TEXAS ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

 

EXCEPTED TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

This announcement is for 2 positions in 36ID: 1 located in 56 BSTB, 1 located in 72 BSTB, Gatesville, TX.  The purpose of this position is to serve as an aircraft and systems repairer for the UAS aircraft being deployed by the Army National Guard.  The aircraft and systems maintained primarily involves those unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) where the aircraft relies on the Flight Control System to automatically set the main flight parameters based on navigational information input by the operator.  The UAS mission involves a variety of functions such as surveillance, reconnaissance, combat search and rescue support, and potentially target illumination, laser targeting, etc. when airframe capabilities permit.  This position is required to support and sustain a regular and reliable operator flight training program.
